Early Music, Late Lunch! Lord Mayor & Sheriff Charity Concert
£15.00 (£20.00 including lunch)
The Estonian Early Music Group of Kiili and
York’s Minster Minstrels
Playing a variety of music from the middle ages,
renaissance and baroque periods
The event will be in 2 halves of roughly 30 minutes each. Lunch will be available following the performance, courtesy of Bradshaws catering. The Minster Minstrels is York's youth early music ensemble for school-age musicians of any instrument. They perform regularly, including appearances at York Early Music Festival and York Early Music Christmas Festival, as well as taking part in Music Hub events throughout the year. The Early Music Group of Kiili, which is on tour in the UK, is an ensemble of youngsters with a long-term stage experience. Many of the musicians are award winning performers on instruments such as the harpischord, flutes, recorders, violins, cellos, the guitar and percussion. It is hoped that the York civic party and the Cultural Counsellor for Estonia will be attending.
All proceeds go to the Lord Mayor & Sheriff Charities.
