The Sky above the Roof
The sounds of spring, awakening, hope – this glorious concert, recorded at the NCEM in the summer of 2020, brings together German consort music of the 17th century by Scheidt, Schein, Tunder and JC Bach, with the genius of Vaughan Williams celebrating two beautiful song-settings – Silent Noon and The Sky above the Roof.
‘Fretwork is the finest viol consort on the planet.’ The London Evening Standard
‘A heavenly voice – the real star – whose talent makes you tingle.’ Quentin Letts: MailOnline
