York Opera returns to the National Centre for Early Music in May 2020 with Tales of Kings and Queens - a selection of scenes from Mary Stuart by Donizetti, Merrie England by German, King Arthur by Purcell, and Macbeth by Verdi. Performed in the round, the audience will be placed on all four sides of the stage, for an immersive and unforgettable take on these varied extracts for soloists and chorus.
