The Willow Consort: The Road Home
The Willow Consort: The Road Home
  • Conducted by Danny Purtell
  • 7pm
  • 'In recent years the choral music of America has become extremely popular, thanks to the music of Eric Whitacre and Morten Lauridsen. The Willow Consort, directed by Danny Purtell cast light on a few more composers who have illuminated the last half-century, and who now take their place on the international stage, including the UK premiere of Bern Herbolsheimer’s ‘Seven Last Words’ and two brand new arrangements of Negro Spirituals by Timothy Burtt and Carter Sligh.'
